SILENCE IS ASSENT
To see danger, and to not call it out to others who may not see it, is assent to the presence of that danger. It must be called out for the benefit of your children, your friends, your co-workers, your community.
Our country, which has been a stronghold of the right of everyday citizens to speak their mind and vote for those who they would choose to be in a leadership position, is in danger. Violating those rights and intimidating those who would vote to express their opinion and choice is a danger.
Freedom of speech is an American strength. But freedom of speech does not allow people to act or talk in any manner they choose. It was included as part of The Constitution to give people the opportunity to discuss and promote their thoughts. It does not include lying, cheating, inciting or soliciting illegal actions. Allowing those actions without accountability weakens America strength. Once strength has been weakened, it may not recover. The results of such a weakening can allow further diminishing of American values which have, in the past, allowed the country to lead the world in many areas.
To be a person in a position of power, or aspiring to such a position and not take action against such danger is a disqualifier for that person to be in a position of power.
Speak up against the atrocities that others use to weaken the country to their liking and to their benefit at the disadvantage to a great majority of this country and as a danger to the health and safety of many, many people.
