One week from today is the last day of voting. Let’s keep working hard to hang onto the House and Senate. The alternative is not good. The GOP is not equipped to handle ANY governing. They are the party of Trump and they show that by their list of grievances that they claim “most Americans are concerned about”. Yeh, right… most Americans are NOT concerned with impeaching Biden and Harris or grilling government officials like Dr.Fauci in endless, bogus investigations a la Benghazi. We want to preserve our true freedoms like the right to vote, the right to make decisions about our own bodies and maintaining and increasing the rights for our LGBTQ citizens among many, many other important issues.

If the thought of GOP rule in Congress causes intense nightmares for you, work on close campaigns in your state to get us across the finish line. If you are in a blue state, consider text banking, phone banking and postcard writing for candidates. Here’s a great resource to find these campaigns:

I have been writing postcards for Cortez-Masto in Nevada. Think about what you can do.

Also… VOTE EARLY if you can. And then answer the phone when the Democratic party calls and tell them you have voted. That way, they can concentrate on voters that needs more persuasion.

As far as other news, I am horrified but not surprised at the RW reaction to the assassination attempt on Nancy Pelosi. And that’s what it was even though the media refuses to label it that way. Any decency that might have existed in the GOP is completely gone and it’s sickening.

It debunks every single disgusting thing flung out there in the RW universe. Have we heard any apologies? Especially from GOP leadership? Hell no. All we hear is “...but, but… when Steve Scalise was shot ...” or “… Justice Kavanaugh had protesters at his house...” Total bullshit trying to make a false equivalency stick. Democrats SOUNDLY denounced the violence against Scalise, you did not hear or see ONE Democrat using that incident at an excuse to spin out conspiracy theories, etc. And when Kavanaugh felt threatened? What did the Democratic Congress and President do? They passed a law for increased protection for Justices. DEMOCRATS did that.
