My substitute for real autumn leaves

I have a tote full of “florals”, artificial flowers and leaves that I use for the crafts I have been doing. Most of them are fine for the purposes, some are a little thin and need some help, but the autumn leaves garlands have wonderful color. I love to do crafts at this time of year because of the colors.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

As I predicted earlier, it was hot the week before Halloween but cool enough for a sweater that night. The kids didn’t notice and the parents were happy it wasn’t raining, although we would all love to get rain. And indeed, we did, last night and into the morning. It was very light but did soak in to the thirsty ground.

Bill continues to expand his eating options. He has eaten dinner every night for over a week but not enough yet. He still uses the liquid and now has added a bowl of cereal in the morning and a cup of pudding in the afternoon. He sleeps better. He is improving.

My ankle and foot are feeling better every day, more like they should feel. I still have intermittent numbness in my toes and some swelling, but the dr said that will go on for months. Next Tuesday, I have an appointment with the ortho folks and get x-rays to check progress.

And last medical update for me, my blood pressure is down to normal according to the meter I am using. This is week 1 of 4 so I will let you know if anything changes. The meds seem to be working.

Please enjoy whatever you can this day. There is always something to find for one who looks.
