What will be our destiny if Republicans capture the House and Senate on November 8? [1]

What will happen if Republicans capture the House and Senate on November 8?

They'll do what they did from 2016 to 2018 when they last held majorities in Congress.

They'll give more tax breaks to corporate and rich donors, ignore critical issues like civil rights, climate change, deficit spending, fair tax policies, honesty in politics, and income inequality, they'll snub working families, squander millions of taxpayer dollars "investigating" (aka revenge politics) anyone who dares disagree, reverse Constitutional protections, brush off the rule of law, and more.

If voters are willing to trust their destinies and the destinies of their children and grandchildren to politicians who promote the big lie, support insurrection, deny the rights of women to make their own choices, and are governed by big-money donors, not public service, they should cast their ballots for Republicans.

However, as William Jennings Bryan said, "Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved."

So, will voters choose to surrender their destinies to the likes of Kevin McCarthy, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Greene, Ted Cruz, Herschel Walker, Mehmet Oz, and the titular head of the Republican Party, and if so, why?
