Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, the majority on the Supreme Court pretended arguments in favor of Affirmative Action “didn’t exist.”
Then, on the rest of the menu, the Department of Justice, supporting a claim by the League of Women Voters of Arizona, said that monitoring ballot drop boxes can amount to illegal voter intimidation; Jewish leaders called on GOP candidates to reject antisemitic comments; and, in a victory for the Biden administration’s tougher approach to proposed mergers, a federal judge blocked Penguin Random House’s purchase of Simon & Schuster.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where Rwanda criticized the expulsion of its ambassador from Congo; and, a kidnapped French conservationist has been released in eastern Chad.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.
Bon Appétit!
