Anybody besides me getting tired of the deluge of emails begging for money? I understand the importance of fundraising, but how is sending out 4 or 5 messages a day from the same candidate at all helpful? I give what I can but this makes me LESS likely to want to contribute. It’s started getting almost as bad on my mobile device with texts. I have gotten to the point where I just block the number of any solicitation.
And the tone of the messages often just stinks of desperation. Here’s a few messages in my mailbox just from today:
Tragic Loss: McConnell Wins
CRUSHED IN CALIFORNIA
Very bad news in Pennsylvania — Goodbye John Fettermen
I’m worried
A difficult email to write re Beto O’Rourke (we’re packing up)
Tim O’Ryan ABANDONED
Often they parrot the mass media “red wave” messaging that so many on this site have spoken out against. Who wants to contribute to a candidate when their campaign says they are going to lose?
I am strongly tempted to mark these emails as spam.
