No one works harder to get elected than Don Vruwink.

We have to send Rep Don Vruwink back in November to continue working for rural Wisconsin. Now, running in the newly-redrawn 33rd District, we need to give Rep Vruwink our full support.

Don Vruwink has represented Wisconsin’s 43rd Assembly District since 2017.

But this April, the GOP-run Wisconsin state Supreme Court chose wildly gerrymandered legislative maps drawn to favor Republicans—and suddenly, Don lived in the 33rd. He didn’t move. The lines did.

The 33rd Assembly District has been represented by Republicans since 1982—under the maps drawn after the 1980 census, the 1990 census, the 2000 census, and the 2010 census. But under the new maps, it’s now a toss-up. And the candidate to flip it blue is Rep Don Vruwink.

Throughout his time in the legislature, Rep Vruwink’s been able to help restore funding for our K-12 and UW systems, expand rural broadband, support workers, enhance environmental protections, and strengthen our democracy.

Rep Vruwink spent 36 years as a teacher. Even after retirement, he continued to work as a substitute teacher. He knows how important continued investments in education are for our kids.

With Gov Evers, he’s championed investments in education.

Rep Vruwink’s up against Scott Johnson. If Johnson wins, it’s another vote for Robin Vos for Speaker—and another seat closer to a Republican supermajority. If Vruwink wins, a supermajority becomes highly unlikely. Let’s do this.

One other thing to know about Scott Johnson: he refuses to pay his property taxes. He’s refused 12 times. Resulting in nearly $650,000 in tax liens. And leaving his neighbors to pay the bills for services he benefits from.

So it’s a choice between Don Vruwink, whose record of service lifts everyone up, or Scott Johnson, who makes everyone else pay his own bills. Is this a hard choice?

Don has knocked on thousands of doors across the district. As a retired softball coach, he literally runs to every door so that he can introduce himself to as many of his new voters as possible. But he'll need your help to run through the tape!
