Probably not Jerry Lee

I had not seen another mention of this here, if I missed it, I apologize, but The Killer is no more. Rock ‘n’ roll father and icon Jerry Lee Lewis has followed the Brothers Everly, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and the rest of the vast pantheon of musical greats into R’n’R heaven. He was originally reported dead on Wednesday, but reports were premature. Honestly after a stroke in 2019 and various reports I could not have given an honest estimation of his place on the temporal or astral plane. His musical legacy is safe and was significant for forays into Country, Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Blues and Americana. As his ex-wife reveals, she was always known as Jerry’s 13-year-old bride although she considered herself more mature than Jerry. I saw him once in Richmond Va. in a park setting. The show started an hour late with his backup band taking the stage and playing half an hour. Jerry came on played a medley of his hits and misses for about 45 minutes and disappeared. The crowd started throwing things at the stage. The closest I’ve ever been to a rock ‘n’ roll riot. Still, it was a great show that people who paid little or nothing to see couldn't get enough of.
