All Hands on Deck! It's Time To Roll Up Our Sleeves and Work Like Hell to Get Out the Vote!

I practice what I preach. I have contacted various members of my family to make sure they know about early voting in their respective states. I’m even monitoring one elderly family member who requested an absentee ballot, but now wants to vote in person. I said fill out your ballot and bring it to your polling station during early voting and hand it in person. There’s only so much I can do, but at least I’m trying. When your family lives in purple states every freakin vote matters a lot!

We all can make a real difference. If you want to do more, call, or better yet, drop-by your local Democratic campaign headquarters. Depending on your time availability and comfort level, make phone calls, hand out literature at polling places on Election Day, put up lawn signs, write postcards (there’s still time, First Class Mail gets delivered fast)! Offer rides to the polls!

Whatever you do, no matter how small, matters. I know I’m preaching to the choir here on Daily Kos. But there are plenty readers who are visiting DK for the first time - or only visit on rare occasions. You’re important! What you do matters even more if you help-out in one of the many states with close elections!

You have the power! Now’s the time to use it! All Hands on Deck! It's Time To Roll Up Our Sleeves and Work Like Hell to Get Out the Vote!
