Sub-glacial meltwater ejected violently by methane at the front of a Greenland glacier [1]

Famed climate change videographer Peter Sinclair contributes videos for Yale Climate Connections. He recently returned from Greenland after accompanying three Czech and one American climate scientists who had found a new source of the potent greenhouse gas methane in August of 2022.
Sinclair has since released a video in front of the Issunguata Sermia glacier in southwestern Greenland with commentary by the researchers.
This glacier drains the western sector of Grenland and does not empty into the sea; instead, it is a land-terminating glacier. This glacier is not to be confused with the Zombie Ice that promises at least one foot of sea level rise no matter what actions are taken to become carbon-free. Those marine-terminating glaciers are also located in the Southwest of the island.
Because of high pressure, sub-glacial meltwater is forcibly ejected through the ice from a massive hole at the surface front of the glacier. The concern is that this pressure includes methane from an area of ancient vegetation long buried under the ice.
The footage is unreal.
Research is continuing on methane across the Arctic because of the rapid heating from climate change in the Arctic. Hopefully, this area is not a major methane source, but no one knows for sure.
