Yesterday, I got 2 oversize campaign postcards on the IL governor’s race. Both had the state Democratic Party as return address. Both dealt only with abortion. Apparently, the Republican candidate is a no-exception RWNJ.

This struck me as an interesting example of concentration. Pritzker (D) has had a comfortable lead in all the relevant polls. I haven’t received any other mailings on this race. Nobody expects either chamber of the state legislature to go Republican, and both would have to go Republican for the law — which currently guarantees the right to choose (partly due to Gov. Pritzker’s encouragement) — to change.
