It is hard to figure out what Republicans stand for since their speeches seem mainly filled with ways to scare and divide people in order to gain votes (rather than saying what they would do to help Americans).
One thing we can look at is how they vote.
Let’s see:
Republicans voted against capping insulin at 35$ a month.
x Americans came 3 votes short of having their insulin capped at $35/month. And it failed because Republicans blocked it. Remember that when you vote this fall. — No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen (@NoLieWithBTC) August 7, 2022
Republicans voted against getting baby formula to desperate parents
Republicans voted against an active shooter alert system
Republicans voted against protecting access to contraceptives.
Republicans voted AGAINST veterans healthcare.
Republicans voted against a program to hire & train mental health professionals for 1st responder units
x 223-206: House passed a bill mainly along party lines creating a HHS grant prgm to hire & train mental health professionals for 1st responder units to respond instead of police officers to mental health emergencies. Republicans voted against school based mental health services.
Every single Republican voted against a bill to protect Americans consumers from oil and gas price gouging.
100% of Republicans voted against protecting the right to vote
Republican voted against fighting domestic terrorism
100% of republicans voted against a bill to fight climate change
Republicans voted against the violence against women act
Over ¾ of Republicans voted against protecting gay marriage.
Know anyone who isn’t planning to vote because they don’t think Democrats and Republicans are that different or that this election isn’t that important? Share this with them.
