What explains the Donald's inexplicable hold on born-again Christians?

First heard this song in 1968 when 2 high school classmates sang it at a California coffee shop — George and Ed’s Gold Coast Singers. We never imagined that the Orange Plastic Jesus would have so much power with his demagogic ego, racism, and appetite for violence — or that his deluded followers in America would tout law and order as they attempt to destroy American democracy: the orange plastic Jesus is about as close as they’ll come to their savior.
