Laws exist in the abstract until they are applied against you, to illustrate take jay walking no one cares until you get a ticket or injured while crossing the street, or not being able to sue because you got hit while illegally crossing the street. Shop lifting is the other one that comes to mind, some see it as a thrill until it is applied, and a future is ruined.

To all those who support the antiabortion frenzy; ignited by the SCOTUS ignoring precedent by overturning Roe, these laws may be celebrated by those in this camp until the law is applied against them. Let's look at those that have young daughters Ron Desantis, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz young daughters who could be raped and forced to have those babies. Will Ron, Marco or Ted raises these children especially if those daughters are too young to raise them on their own? Would they also accept a custody arrangement with the rapist who impregnated their daughters? They could become a daddy/grandpa, mama/grandma, their sons become uncle/brothers and their other daughters become auntie/sisters. So how does the party that puts claims on family values see this? How do young brothers see this message, does rape become an acceptable means of showing love and making a family in the future? Could this happen to these people? Probably not, because they are rich and powerful, until it does. Could this happen to you, it has happened, and it is documented in the news.

My biggest argument with the pro-life movement has been that it is only pro-birth. There is no pro-quality of life in the pro-life movement. You can see this in the number of youth shelters, homeless youth on the streets, human trafficking of youth, and no support and actual reduction of food provided to at risk children and school programs. Homeless youth on the streets are breeding grounds for more crime and atrocities, and in many cases the GOP response is to jail or move them to another state so that the problem is no longer theirs.

By enacting these laws are the GOP and Christian Nationalist trying to address the declining birth rate in the US? Some new reports indicate that the birth rate in the US continues to decline, what is on the rise is voluntary sterilization for both males and females. Other consequences with declining birth rates are there will be less people to fill jobs in the future, less people to fill the ranks in the military, less people to protect the borders. Sure, you can have more robots take the jobs of people, but robots don’t spend money, they don’t buy anything, they only consume power, and if an economy is dependent on the movement of money it portends the death of an economy. Also, if you don’t have enough people to fulfill the needs of the nation where do you go? You can’t clone because collection of genetic material is not allowed under these abortion laws. Do you allow immigration, that nasty word to the GOP? Do you give citizenship to those that serve in the military? Would arguments like these be considered by those who support the antiabortion movement?

Under these new restrictive abortion laws, doctors can be prosecuted for murder of genetic material known as a fetus, could those biological fathers that pay for abortions also be prosecuted as murders like those that hire contract killers? If proven, could Herschel Walker be prosecuted under these laws? Could Georgia possibly elect a murder using the definition in these laws? Could your sons or fathers be at risk of these laws? As I said, laws exist in the abstract until they are applied to you, and as a male you didn’t think they would pose any risk until they do.
