If only all this moral outrage made a difference.

I give up.

It seems that no matter how many people we get signed up to vote, no matter how “outraged” people supposedly are about Roe vs. Wade--despite the daily school shootings, GOP gerrymandering, The Big Lie, The Supreme Court, and the Orange Shitgibbon still pissing daily in the mouth of the rule of law--Republicans apparently always win.

I just had a “discussion” with someone with 2 college degrees who defended Ashley Babbitt and said no cops died as a result of January 6.

If every democrat who was eligible to vote simply did so, there would be no way Republicans could ever win. The fact that eligible voter turnout remains around 25% means that nothing will change, except for the worse.

I am still going to vote, and encourage others to do so, but in a system where it’s possible for a national or state election to be won or lost by only hundreds or several thousand votes, I’m not really seeing the goalpost any more.

At this point I almost hope the Republicans do away with social security and Medicare, pass a national abortion ban, outlaw left-wing protest, strip away voting rights, and implement Christian nationalism countrywide. Maybe that will get the point across, but I doubt it.

Better Late Than Never is just nails in the coffin.

It’s clear that asking people to vote for their own self-interest BEFORE they’re negatively impacted is a non-starter.

The Republicans #1 most successful propaganda of the last 40 years has been “your vote doesn’t matter”.

They sold it, we bought it, and that’s Game Over.

Maybe we should try telling people that Republicans are banning Netflix, Taco Bell, and professional sports.

Landslide victory...
