There are currently 193 member states in the United Nations. Not all have designated a national animal. No way I am covering all of them. But add any you particularly like to the comments.
Some iconic national animals from around the world:
Algeria — fennec fox
Antigua and Barbuda — European fallow deer
Bangladesh — Bengal tiger
Belize — Baird’s tapir
Botswana — plains zebra
Canada — North American beaver
Pakistan — Markhor
Qatar — Arabian oryx
South Africa --Springbok
USA — plains bison
Just to be ornery, Scotland chose the unicorn as its official animal.
