Musings for Friday - Luntz Has a Sad. Tough Shite Frank! [1]

Luntz was on Morning J complaining that people yell at him on Twitter.

I didn’t catch the whole segment (thank god) this morning, but Joe and Mika had wordsmith and population manipulator Frank Luntz on their show. Normally as soon as I see his face I change the channel, and I was about to do just that as Luntz was in the middle of some wormy explanation of whatever latest polling (via Luntz’ well known word manipulation) was. But I got there in time to hear Frank complain about people yelling at him on Twitter) or yelling at Joe and Mika for having him on this AM.

To my knowledge Frank Luntz has never accepted his part in the creation of the TEA Party and its sibling the MAGA crowd. His handiwork goes back to the 90s. Everything you see from today’s GOP has Frank Luntz’s DNA all over it. His denials can’t absolve him of that responsibility. Frank’s work gave us Ron Johnson, MTG, Boebert, Walker and even FPOTUS. Without Frank FPOTUS would have found the going just a little bit harder. Frank’s work greased the cogs.



Here, just look at his first two paragraphs of what Wiki has to say about him. It’s probably how his obit will start one day without an extraordinary amount of hagiography.

You know what Frank? I don’t GAF what you think or how you feel. To my knowledge, no where have you accepted your responsibility in putting today’s political rhetoric where it is today. You demonstrated to the GOP that blatant lying could be an effective tool if it was worded just the right way. The devolution of such lying would eventually reach the point where wordsmithing isn’t necessary. Straight up lies and lying have become an accepted campaign rhetorical device. And don’t forget to accuse your opponent of lying while you lie.



So now you’re upset that people yell at you on Twitter. The Left because we remember what you’ve done. And the Right because you don’t want to be associated with THEM, your creation.

FUCK OFF Frank! Fuck all the way off.
