I enjoyed the Willie Nelson concert a lot so I’ll play him again. As expected he opened with Whiskey River, and Bloody Mary Morning was in the set too.
A Rolling Stone article about Willie described him as one of the greatest masters of rubato, and this song is one of the best examples. The syllables are anywhere but on the beat — until he wants it on the beat.
