Forever Chemicals in Breast Milk at toxic levels [1]

There are some 12,000 forever chemicals. These are ‘synthetic chemicals, which have been used for decades across a wide range of industries to make coatings and products resistant to heat, water, or stains.’ This is from EuroNews and they go on to report that toxic chemicals are occurring in breast milk. Of course, this shouldn’t come as a surprise as it is in our rainwater and even found in the Antarctic. In another article they address the consideration of the European Union:
“...has been announced by the European Commission today “opens a new chapter” in facing the growing threat from these harmful substances... The ‘great detox’ promises to improve the safety of almost all manufactured products and rapidly lower the chemical intensity of our schools, homes and workplaces,” she says. Published on Monday, the “restrictions roadmap” will use existing laws to prohibit substances linked to cancer, infertility, reduced vaccine efficiency and other health issues.”
In the U.S. from the Guardian:
”Toxic ‘forever chemicals’ detected in commonly used insecticides in US, study finds Toxic PFAS chemicals have been detected in seven out of 10 insecticides tested in the US, according to new research. Six contained what the study’s lead author characterized as “screamingly high” levels of PFOS, one of the most dangerous PFAS compounds.”
They go on to say:
“We know PFOS is a carcinogen, we know it’s a deadly chemical and there’s no safe level in drinking water,” said Kyla Bennett, a former EPA official and science policy director with the non-profit Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER), which issued a press release on the study. “Our soil and water are now contaminated.”
