Harvest sign made last month/keeping

I am showing most of the signs I have made this and last month. Many of these are going to be given away at my guild meeting but I am keeping a few. I made all of these with supplies from the Dollar Tree and watched videos on YouTube for inspiration.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

We’ll start off with not a sign!

Not a sign/being gifted

This is a little banner that will be in the raffle box at the guild meeting. I usually make a table trivet with Insulbrite in it so you can out hot dishes on your table but I am out of insulbrite so this month, someone gets a banner for the holiday. I really like it.

Current front porch, more to come

I have not finished decorating the porch but I have finished making things for it so here they are. I made the Autumn wreath last year.

close up of Autumn wreath/keeping

The Autumn wreath is from last year but I loved it and kept it.

close up of wheel barrow/keeping

I made this with 4 picture frames, a pair of chop sticks, some popsicle sticks and 2 mason jar lids. Imagine that! It looks better in the picture than it really does because the hot glue is all blobby everywhere. I am keeping it because it is not good enough to give away. But the garden gate below is lovely and I am keeping it too.

This is about 20 inches tall and the pumpkin box is separate and can be decorated with other things.

Hello fall 2/keeping

I made one of these last month and a kind soul wanted it, so I sent it off to her. Then I found the original supplies at the super Dollar Tree and made it again for me because I loved it! I was so happy to find everything I needed.

black moon flower/being gifted

I made this and the next one using the regular Dollar Tree wreath forms but cut 2 sections out to make the moon. I taped the tips together and then covered it with goodies. This one has a new home with my Saturday BFF.

flower moon on front porch/being gifted

This came out so pretty which is great since I used up the last of my florals on it and have to restock.

another red truck project/being gifted

I love the red truck and this sign is fun. I will probably make another for Christmas with trees in the bed of the truck.

hello autumn/being gifted

This is long and thin. I made the tin pumpkin that fills in the cut out using a thin sheet of tin and folding it. I like the effect and had seen it done on another sign. I think the flower box is more in the middle than this photo shows but maybe not! LOL.

Wicked/being gifted

The wooden sign was a blank and I painted it. It is attached to a fabric covered tin that covers the burners on a stove. I tell you, Dollar Tree people use almost anything to glue stuff on. I am please with this little one.

The witch is in/keeping

I made the figure earlier and was happy with it but then I had an idea to add the moon behind her and put a light in it. I painted a pizza pan white, had Bill drill a hole in it and hot glued a tea light to the back with the bulb sticking through between it and her. The tea light flickers and gives this a great eerie feeling. I am keeping it too. But if I find the blank again I may make it again next year to gift. This one has its blemishes that won’t be repeated on a new one.

That’s it for the fall season. Margie and I are going shopping tomorrow at the super Dollar Tree for Christmas supplies. We are having fun. How about you? Are you having any fun?
