Berlusconi was so awry (angry), that he advised 2 senators of his party Forza Italia not to vote for Ignazio Benito Maria La Russa. He is one of the heavy weights of his party. One can sum up much against LaRussa — for example his neo-fascist past — but that did not concern Berlusconi — he was out to deal a blow to Meloni. Well, it did not add up. The opposition supported LaRussa with 16 votes so La Russa was through in the first instance of voting.
That wasn’t all. TV cameras recorded 2 scenes where Berlusconi’s anger against Meloni was visible: The first cut shows LaRussa approaching Berlusconi and he tells him “go to hell.” The second cut is showing a piece of paper where Berluconi lambasts Meloni’s attitude: freaky (smart-alec), bumptious (overbearing), against all change, insulting, one you cannot get along with.
