INFLATION SOARING? [1]

I do not understand why we Democrats do not fight disinformation about inflation. All in the media keep screaming “inflation soaring”. With “inflation soaring, democrats are in trouble”, etc.

I just look at the data. Inflation for August was 8.3%, for September is 8.2%. That is 0.1% less. Well, it is a slow downward trend but compared to other countries it is not “soaring”.

Personally, at my Food Lion Grocery Store, some prices go up, some down so I have not felt the terrible inflation. There are always sales. Two for the price of one. Milk is now 3.29/gallon. My husband and I are retired and not rich, with a combined income in the low middle class. Yes, we do not have to drive to work, and we do not have children at home. Our home is humble but paid off. We do pay property taxes of course. So, maybe we are the only ones doing fine. But somehow, I do not think so. I know that there are families with children that are suffering, and we should help them. But, in general, I do not think, looking at statistics that things are so awful under Biden for everyone. Maybe I am delusional.

It would be great to hear your opinions.
