Passings

We moved to California 53 years ago, having visited old friends in Marin County several times. They had an established circle of friends, and we were fortunate to enjoy them and joined the social circle. Even after moving to Sonoma County we kept in touch with most of them.

The group is now elderly, and many of them have already passed. Today is the memorial service for M. She was active in many areas, so we expect a large turnout. We’ll be seeing children and grandchildren, and restoring connections from the past.

I’m expecting the memorial to take much of the afternoon, so I’m scheduling this for 5:30 in case we’re not back. It’s an open thread.

Kate Wolf was a singer that loved California as I do, and someone who died way too early. I’ll leave you with this beautiful and poignant song:
