A Mandatory Question for Every Republican Candidate: "Do you Support Pardoning Violent Criminals?" [1]

“I mean full pardons with an apology to many,”

There is such a flood of unprecedented and outrageous events occurring every day that some things get lost or pushed into the background. And sometimes those things are at such high level of depravity and lawlessness that they should always be prominent. Because of their sheer degeneracy, they are and should be a potent weapon against Republicans now.

On September 1, 2022, Trump said this:

This grotesque slap in the face to the Constitution, the Rule of Law, all branches of government, all Americans and decent people all over the world has now entered the sludge with thousands of other outrages occurring daily (McConnell “death wish” anyone?).

But it is potent and easy to understand, with ample vivid, indelible photographic and video evidence.

Republican candidates are either tied to Trump’s hip or should be, and must own this. You are either pro-MAGA or anti-MAGA. Especially when their tactic is to crank up crime hysteria, we need to force the mantle of violent crime enabler on every one of them: Masters (AZ), Laxalt (NV), Abbott (TX), DeSantis (FL), Rubio (FL), Mastroiano (PA), Oz (PA), Walker (GA), Budd, (NC), Vance (OH), Zeldin (NY), Balduc (NH), et al.

If the media won’t, candidates and ads should. E.g.,

Mr. Vance. You support Donald Trump? So you support pardoning those who bear-sprayed police officers, correct?

At every opportunity — debates, speeches, ads in all media — ask the question in the title of this story: “

“Your Ally Donald Trump, Supports Pardoning Violent Criminals? Do You?”

And break it down:

Do you support:

Pardoning those who Threatened to Hang the Vice-President?

Pardoning those who Helped Kill a Police Officer?

Pardoning those who Trashed and Defiled Our Capitol?

Pardoning those who Attacked Congress, leading to Five Deaths and Hundreds of Injuries?

Pardoning those who Paraded a Treasonous Flag through Our Capitol?

Pardoning those who Assaulted Police Officers with Bear Spray?

There are three weeks left to hold the aiders and abettors of violence and treason to account.

Let’s do it.
