Matt Walsh event at the University of Houston attracts detractors, supporters [1]

On Friday evening, Matt Walsh hosted an event at the student centre of the University of Houston campus, where he held a screening of his film What Is A Woman? in front of several students.

UH officials told ABC13 the speaker was invited to campus by a registered student organization. The university said its policy does not approve or deny expressive activity based on the content or viewpoint of the speaker.

Due to the provocative, transphobic nature of the film, hundreds of students have protested outside the event in solidarity of transgender rights.

Nevertheless, Walsh was satisfied on how his event turned out, which is just one of many stops in his tour.

The trans kids are not alright, seeing that many of the youth oppose human rights for transgender people.
