I am dismayed by fund raising [1]

I was dirt poor for the longest time; I now have a couple nickels I can rub together, so I decided I could start giving to candidates. I don’t have much wiggle room, but I thought it couldn’t hurt. I sent $6 to Act Blue, and suddenly I get more than a dozen emails a day from Act Blue candidates. I guess that is the way fundraising is done for Democrats, but since the Kapitalists have the pockets, they will generally have more in campaign chests. I don’t know what to do about it. Will I have to unsubscribe every time I can spare a few bucks?? I haven’t quit, I have given to Kelly and Val, and may yet again, but getting pestered for helping candidates the small way I can is disheartening. Enough said.
