According to MAC:
“From the makers of Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon and Trolls, comes an extraordinary exhibition celebrating over 25 years of DreamWorks Animation.”
Madagascar, produced by DreamWorks in 2005, is a marriage of classic animation techniques and state-of-the-art Computer Generated animation. According to the display:
“Inspired by the slapstick cartoons of the Golden Age of American Animation, the filmmakers used a ‘squash and stretch’ animation style, where they deformed the characters and then snaped them back into shape to convey extreme motion and impact.”
There are four main characters in Madagascar:
Alex: the proud and pampered lion
Marty: the streetwise zebra
Gloria: the sassy hippopotamus
Melman: the hypochondriac giraffe
