I seem to have developed an interesting ability. Some time back, I wrote something about the weather in the Northwest being comfortably cool, which I posted just in time for an unprecedented heatwave in Seattle and Oregon. Last week, I mentioned that Texas autumn had arrived because daytime temperatures are now less than 95 degrees, then a few days later our high temp reached—that’s right—95 degrees. So I’m going to try this once more: the drought here is getting reallt bad, and we desperately need some rain. But it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting precipitation any time soon.
Now, if I cover up the woodpile, am I going to ruin my newfound talent for being wrong about the weather? As they say on the evening news, only time will tell.
