I’ll be in New Orleans for a couple weeks, then heading back to Florida for the winter.
Famous for Mardi Gras, the French Quarter is the most popular attraction in NOLA. Bars, tourist shops and restaurants.
Some photos from a walk through the French Quarter.
For those who don't know, I live in a converted campervan and travel around the country, posting photo diaries of places that I visit. I am currently in New Orleans.
Lafayette Square
Canal Street
Bourbon Street
Musical Legends Park
The streets here are narrow, one-way, and run in all directions
Some of the old French houses here date back to the city’s founding
This street performer saw me photographing him and said he wanted to “show you my best side”...
St Louis Basilica
Jackson Square
Andrew Jackson
Lots of buskers out and about—most of them playing jazz
Mississippi River
Riverwalk
US Navy supply ships
Freighter heading to port
“Old Man River”
Holocaust Memorial
