One for the record books
The US Coast Guard 7th District released this video of an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew rescuing stranded victims of Hurricane Ian. Most of the residents of Sanibel Island are retirees who could not escape the flooding once their only bridge was taken out by this Category 4 hurricane.
The US Coast Guard motto is “So Others May Live” and this video shows how they live up to that motto.
Nothing really to say about this, you just have to watch for yourself. Thanks to Air Station Miami and PO2 Tyler Kilbane for providing this incredible first-person footage shot using a GoPro.
