Herschel Walker down 12 points in poll conducted (mostly) before abortion bombshell [1]

For one thing, Trump’s hand-selected Georgia Senate candidate, Herschel Walker, would like to reiterate that the abortion he allegedly paid for because he’d already hit his secret-child bag limit should have totally been illegal.
That’s not Walker’s only problem, of course. He has a hard time completing a sentence—which may be the only thing that keeps him from lying every time he opens his mouth.
Well, long story short, it looks like voters are actually starting to notice all these albatrosses. And if the latest polling is accurate, they noticed even before Walker’s outsized hypocrisy came into stark relief.
A new poll conducted by Survey USA for Atlanta’s WXIA-TV shows Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock a gaudy 12 points ahead of Walker in their race for Georgia Senate.
WXIA-TV (11Alive):
The poll finds Warnock with a substantial lead over Walker, 50% to 38%, among 1,076 likely November voters. SurveyUSA conducted the poll exclusively for 11Alive from Sept. 30 through Oct. 4, with 95% of it completed before The Daily Beast reported Monday night that Walker paid for a girlfriend's abortion in 2009. The Republican has publicly stated his opposition to abortion in all instances, and has denied the report and said he would sue, calling it a “flat-out lie."
Yowza! Guess fantasizing about murder, lying about secret children, allegedly abusing one’s partner, and speaking in tongues during interviews without ever realizing it eventually takes a toll on your favorables.
Of course, it’s important to note that this is just one poll, and WXIA takes pains to point out that it’s currently an outlier. But even if you take this poll out of the mix, things weren’t looking great for Walker even before the forced-births-for-thee/abortions-for-me story hit the interwebs.
The RealClear Politics average since early September has Warnock ahead by 1.3 points. Other polls have shown Warnock's support in the range of the 50% 11Alive's poll found - but Walker has not polled below 40% in any other poll conducted recently.
That said, given Georgia Republicans’ demonstrated history of putting awful people in office—as well as pollsters’ recent inability to fully capture the electoral zeitgeist—we can’t take anything for granted.
Warnock needs as much support as ever. So if you can spare a ha’penny or two (or, indeed, any combination of full pennies), he’d surely appreciate it.
So let’s grab this momentum and run with it. Unless you really want to watch Herschel the Hypocrite flailing about for six (or more) years in our august upper chamber.
