For those of you keeping track, you’re going to start repenting tonight. So today is your chance to get those last sins and transgressions in, and get them in the queue for atonement.

Joan McCarter is due to stop by, though not specifically for that purpose.

The country does, however, owe her a great debt for giving the Congress the space to work out the continuing resolution last week. Ordinarily, last week we would have been pointing out their shortcoming and making them self-conscious about it. But Joan decided to go easy on them, and they used their time wisely, and got the job done.

Now we can start in fresh about the other things they’re screwing up, or are poised to, instead.
