This half-man is marinated in the blood of children. He leads by double digits.

Hello, fellow crickets. The one-and-done debates debate for Texas’ gubernatorial race came and went yesterday like a Rio Grande Valley dust devil. Beto seemed properly poised, positively pissed and personably presentable and Greg Abbott was, well his usual barely coherent, badly prepared and frequently flustered stammering incompetent and openly hateful self for a lightning-short round of near pointless political theater.

There was no audience, as that was a condition of Abbott’s. Beto’s campaign bussed 35 Uvalde mass-shooting family members down 5 hours to Deep South Texas anyway. The proposed followup town halls won’t happen, either because Abbott isn’t interested in facing his constituents given his 8 years of failings on energy, power generation/ grid management, school safety, his devastation of women’s reproductive rights and the issues Beto hammered him on, repeatedly.

One low/high point was when Abbot clumsily explained that after a child gets raped by a family member they get access to free prenatal vitamins thanks to his largesse.

Beto trails heavily in the pre-debate polls and if this website is any indication, few watched the debate.
