Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon is recovering after surgery for appendicitis on Wednesday night, according to the congressman's office.The Republican was admitted to Walter Reed Hospital for intense abdominal pain, according to a news release.Bacon's office said he had an emergency appendectomy Wednesday night, which Bacon said was a "home run."“I want to thank the medical team at Walter Reed Hospital for the efficient and swift care they provided not only to me, but those they serve daily,” Bacon said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to a full recovery and quickly returning to work.”According to his office, Bacon was released from the hospital Thursday and is "doing well."More headlines
