DeathSantis has been having too many press briefings rather than actually leading, or even rubble-necking. because he’s about election rather than serving constituents. His press briefings are mainly about “folks need to listen to the authorities” easily done by those authorities rather than actually caring. His latest briefing promoted fundraising for his wife’s NGO, because you should give money to it rather than the Red Cross. Because real fascists hide their belligerence and bad judgement with even more insidious stunts. Trump is in a QAnon corner because of his legal troubles. DeSantis is not yet in the barrel for his Martha’s Vineyard stunt and his hatred avoids the GQP connection. DeSantis can do nuance while doing far more subtle partisanship:
He demonstrated bipartisanship, praising President Biden’s emergency declaration and pledging to work hand in hand with his administration. “You’ve got people’s lives at stake, you’ve got their property at stake, and we don’t have time for pettiness,” DeSantis told reporters Tuesday. “We gotta work together to make sure we’re doing the best job for them.” www.washingtonpost.com/... x Of note, @POTUS has already approved the request from @GovRonDeSantis for full federal assistance, including full deployment and mobilization of @fema.
On a separate note, @Fla_Pol reports Gov. DeSantis has not requested help from @SenRickScott or spoken with the junior Senator.

https://t.co/aC0VKkH5aa — DonkeyHotey (@DonkeyHotey) September 29, 2022 If Trump had carried himself then the way DeSantis is performing today, he would probably still be in the Oval Office. DeSantis understands this. And he is showing that, unlike the 45th president, he can take the fight to Biden one day and work with him to help storm-battered Floridians the next. He can provoke the left like a conservative populist, but also govern like a conservative reformer and lead like a president in times of crisis. Watching him manage this crisis, conservatives should see a leader who can give them everything they love about Trump, without the belligerence and bad judgment. Even before the hurricane, a poll of Florida Republicans — the voters who know him best — showed him leading Trump by eight points in a hypothetical primary. www.washingtonpost.com/... x Then, Congressman Ron DeSantis voted against aid to help NJ in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Now, Gov. Ron DeSantis has accepted & thanked POTUS for the aid offered by him & FEMA. Good Presidents serve all the people of this country. See the difference. — Rhonda Jones Levy (@RhondaJonesLevy) September 29, 2022 x A Massachusetts lawmaker is seeking a federal human trafficking probe into Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis after he sent flights of migrants to Martha's Vineyard.
https://t.co/KTHM8DEltU — Mid-Michigan NOW (@midmichigannow) September 29, 2022 x Because #DeSantis already has his Gestapo here in #Florida.
He's been doing this with his "press conferences" for the past few years.
When DeSantis appears it may look like a U.S. press conference but it never is.
DeSantis tosses constituents who ask the real questions too.
https://t.co/a4utX18YXL — Di_719 Volunteer for 2022 elections ~ BEAT THE GOP (@Di_719) September 29, 2022 x Remember Trump withholding federal relief to California because he didn’t carry the State in 2016?
Today @Potus sent federal aid to Florida without resentment or self aggrandizement, even though a number of GOPers there deny he’s the President.
Why?
Because he’s a GOOD President. — Ken Olin (@kenolin1) September 29, 2022
