Is it hopeless to steer MDR back to what it was? With the exception of Dr. Jose Cervantes, a standout class act, having been taken by ambulance, I ended up in a place where patients in a waiting room seek out eye contact, so we can shake our heads at each other, overhearing a physical fight break out due to the insufferable petty-authority valet parking people. I was attended by a "travel nurse" who, I think, has likely caused patients to travel Anywhere But Here. Literally, at least a dozen times, I said "I haven't had anything to eat for ten hours - yes, I know some meds should not be taken with food. There was no food. With "travel nurse" placing me on IGNORE, and seeing no trays delivered to those around me, I was ready to leave Against Medical Advice, til I finally got results of a scan (kidney stone). It was only then that a doctor spoke to me, Cervantes. More than an hour later, Tracy Travel Nurse handed me a cellophane-wrapped sandwich of the kind that makes you look under the bread to see just what this is (gray turkey) while dictating to me that I can get myself dressed, at the same time moving the railing I was clearly leaning on to get up from the bed - as my boss used to say "a lawsuit waiting to happen."
