A great two person show!

I saw this show with my wife, Susan, in Wilmington, Delaware, September 23rd. It starred Tricia Paoluccio and Jamison Stern.

Tricia plays Dolly Parton like Dolly plays Dolly. Really! Dolly Parton approved Tricia to portray her in this production. She sounds exactly like Dolly, acts and looks like her, too.

The story (written by Bruce Vilanch, Tricia, and her husband, director Gabriel Barrie) is about a would-be comedian living in his parents’ attic during covid. He fantasies Dolly advising him through her music and she materialized to get him up out of his depression.

I would call this a fantasy-comedy. All aspects of this show from set design to costumes, band and casting to song selection make for a great evening of entertainment!
