Just as a reminder for those who have no clue about recent history- The United States in 1940 was still in a depression. We had 2 aircraft carriers, nearly the entire US army was less than 40,000 people and only a handful of old tanks and limited air force capacity. In just 5 years, the US manufactured over 95 aircraft carriers, tens of thousands of aircraft, including the new B-17s and B29s. We also produced tens of thousands of tanks, trucks and other vehicles- NOT ONLY for the American Army but also for the British and the Russian armies. The US supplied arms, trucks, ammunition and and millions of tons of food for the Russian army and the Russian people, as well as the entire British Empire. All this while supplying our own armies in North Africa, Italy, France, and the Pacific Theater of war. We did this, because of WW2 and the Lend Lease agreements passed by Congress. It can be done. If it can be done in the 1940s, a nation mobilized can do it again in the 2020s.
