Whatever happened to Newsweek? It's turned into a Republican attack weapon [1]

I always thought of Newsweek as a reasonably responsible middle of the road weekly magazine, with a slightly liberal edge. Things have changed, radically, the Newsweek brand has been turned into a Republican mouthpiece.

Today’s edition of Newsweek (9/24/2022) portrays reports of police killing of civilians as left wing propaganda, has a puff piece praising Ron de Santis, has an article saying voters should choose candidates who support charter schools, and an article praising the Supreme Court for overturning Roe v Wade.

One thing is clear. the number of pro-Republican media outlets keeps growing.
