We must be active, vigilant and resourceful in defense of democracy.
The stakes are clear. The fight is now!
All states are required to send midterm ballots to overseas and military voters who have requested them at least 45 days before the election. In other words, really NOW. Millions of US citizens are eligible to receive their ballots:
Under federal law, special absentee ballots are available to all service members members who are on active duty and stationed away from their home voting precinct--anywhere, in the United States or abroad . The law also covers their family members. It applies to all uniform services, the merchant marines, Public Health Service and NOAA.
Special ballots are also available to all civilians outside the United States.
People in these groups can register to vote and request their ballots now at fvap.gov or votefromabroad.org .
Other voters who will be away from their voting-home can request absentee ballots at their local or state elections office.
Every committed Democrat should do a personal canvass: How many voters can you reach?
