And that’s not even considering the political situation.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

September 19: Typical Monday for the school year. Not a bad day, all told.
September 20: YES, I’m sure my voter registration is up to date and active. I checked on the Secretary of State’s website, which is where such information is found. At least, in Oregon. I know this is National Voter Registration Day, but FFS, how many check-your-voter-registration emails can one person stand?
Didn’t have to deal with my grandson today. My daughter took the day off to get the cat to the vet for assorted reasons, so she got her kids to school. And from.
September 21: Busy Wednesday. Deliver grandson to school. My mid-month deposit is in, so bills to pay and groceries to buy. My dental appointment was changed to 12:30 today rather than in October. Pick up grandson and classmate and get them to futsol by 4:00. Also pick up classmate’s little brother and sit with him till futsol is over and I take all three to my daughter’s place — my granddaughter was home by then and I could go home and be grumpy over my sore mouth in peace.
Refund issued for a book ordered online that was supposedly delivered yesterday. I was home at the time and my door was open. If the book was delivered, it wasn’t to me.
September 22: My mother is 91 now. COVID booster scheduled for Wednesday of next week.
September 23: No school. I forget what they call it these days, but when I was a kid, it was an in-service day. Teachers have to show up, but no students.
Finally got to the bank for some laundry change. Some repairs or traffic lane changes are happening in the area of the bank I go to. Getting to it was quite an adventure for the last few blocks.
September 24: Chiropractic appointment was a bit stressful. She kept finding spots that hurt. When I got home, I decided to see about a doctor appointment, and found an early in the day one at the end of October, a couple days after my eye appointment.
I actually took an afternoon nap.
