Another Michoacán town
A 7.6 Earthquake has struck the Pacific coast of Mexico, not far from the town of Aquila, Michoacán. The epicenter is in the coastal mountains, la Sierra de Coalcoman, 15 Km deep. Aquila is 7 miles inland from the coastal town of Placita de Morelos, a place I’ve driven through several times on Highway 200, the road that follows Mexico’s West Coast. The coast of Michoacán is very mountainous, like California's Big Sur, but more sparsely populated than Big Sur.
