Good morning, Newdists! Get comfy, grab a cuppa and a nosh, and join us for some this and that and chat!

All are welcome to join the fun, the silliness, the conversations. If you don’t know...just ask! Some things really do require a bit of explanation. There will be a few surprises along the way, all good ones, we hope. We are here to keep building the Daily Kos Community. We post Mon-Sun at 10:30 a.m. Eastern. Pie fights will be met with outrageous ridicule and insults. Trolls will be incinerated and served at the next group BBQ. As briquettes.

And finally…..I think I’ve shared the story about how when I first lived in SC when I was a mere lass, the young lad who lived around the corner had a bit of a crush on me. I had to be told, because I thought he was just a cool kid who liked hanging out with us. 😳 Anyway, on one of his forays into the woods around where we lived, he found a young raccoon, and brought it for me to see. It was freakin’ adorable!!! I got to hold it, and much to my amazement and delight, it purred!! So….
