We can defeat Republicans on Nov. 8. How? With some massive voter registration!
In Kansas, a whopping 70% of new voter registrants after the Supreme Court overruled Roe in June were women—which is how the state unexpectedly defeated an extreme anti-abortion ban in August. And we are seeing similar trends in other states where women, young voters, and others are coming out to register and vote in unprecedented numbers. One report from TargetSmart in Georgia shows Black women are requesting mail-in ballots at a higher rate than they did in 2020.
Republicans may get what they deserve on Election Day thanks to this huge wave of new voters. But there's no guarantee this backlash will result in Democratic victories.
Tuesday, Sept. 20 is National Voter Registration Day, and our friends at NextGen America need volunteers to help register new voters.
