Ken Starr, the investigator who helped pave the way for Trump and other right-wing extremists by relentlessly pursuing a President for his “carnal activities” has died. Perhaps unfairly (but not really), the following should be included with any rendering of his sorry existence:

Ken Starr carried water for the anti-Clinton hate-mob (AKA Republicans). While Big Bill was certainly guilty of sexual misconduct, it affected no one but himself and his family. Naturally, the opposition party made a banquet out of it, conflating the President’s sexual dalliance into a national crisis and hammering him to the point of a nearly successful attempt at impeachment.

Misbehaving in a non-political manner, while disappointing and something to remember come election time, is relatively common and virtually endemic in Washington. Ken Starr's exaggerated arguments were, for the most part, mean-spirited and designed to inflame, not to resolve a contentious issue. His "work" had little to do with Clinton's job of running the country; it was naked political ambition and opportunism at its worst.

With the support of a gleeful Republican constituency, Starr made Herculean efforts to interfere with Clinton's legal activities as President. In reality, all of it was based on the fact that the guy was caught with his pants down around his ankles. That type of offense is between a husband and a wife, and anything Hillary said or did should have stayed between them.

Yet, this is the same sorry Republican party that fails to acknowledge the myriad number of dangerous criminal activities orchestrated by one Donald J. Trump and his gang of anti-American conspirators. There was nothing fair or balanced about that.

Rest in hell for eternity, Ken. Your time here was designed and consistently destructive to the concept of justice. To say the least, Ken Starr was an undemocratic louse in the extreme.
