Today was my annual training for working on Election Day. Training for each party is done separately which I never understood as we all work together. My training class is for people who are returning workers. Based on some of what I saw, I fear for the people voting at whichever place some where some of these people are working.
The biggest concern for people in the class were poll watchers. It was explained all poll watchers must have a written statement from a candidate or party in order to be in the polling place and/or leave sign in sheets. It was again reiterated we are not required to fill out their lists especially if we are busy. I plan on again doing as little of that as possible as only the Republicans want it.
I did get my mom a position working at my location but not my table for this year. I am not sure how that will go. 18 hours is a lot. LOL
This being the final primary day of the year except for Louisiana, I wish all workers good luck as the big day approaches.
