Trump's attorneys have filed their opposition to DOJ's motion to lift the stay [1]

I don’t have a lot of time to write up a summary of Trump’s opposition to the DOJ’s motion to lift the stay on its review of the seized documents. In summary, for the first time, Trump is declaring in a court filing a broad presidential right to declassify any document he chooses. He is also stating that the appointment of a special master is needed to protect the integrity of the process and that he is likely to succeed on the merits. This is particularly rich since his nominees for special master all have connections to him; they are in no sense detached third-parties. This is the most dangerous attempt to broaden the powers of the executive branch I have seen during my lifetime.
