Louie Gohmert, as always defending his title as “stupidest man in congress” presented a ceremonial flag that had been flown over the Capitol to Simone Gold when she was released from prison on Friday.

Gold is a notorious right winger. She was locked up for her Jan 6 attack on the nation, and Gohmert called her a “political prisoner” and thinks she shuld be honored for her seditious activities. Gold was a big pusher of many Trumpist memes, including Hydroxochloroquine and other Covid conspiracies. She is the founder of “America’s Frontline Doctors” a group whose apparent aim (in opposition to the oath she swore to do no harm) is to kill Americans through quackery.
