Quick question about Bannon's new indictment [1]

The news today is that Steve Bannon has been indicted for money laundering. This is the same case that Trump gifted Steve Bannon a pardon for, except instead of federal charges, these charges are filed in New York, so the pardon does not apply.
So, question here for those in the legal know…
My admittedly meager understanding is that accepting a pardon is effectively a confession of guilt.
Is this so? And if so, how does that factor in the NY’s case? Does the fact that Bannon has that pardon essentially make this a slam dunk for the state, as it’s effectively a confession of guilt?
