So this maybe slipped under the radar but Liz Truss has already notched up a major achievement.

She has appointed two ministers to the Northern Ireland office who views are diametrically opposed to the majority in NI.

Background is in the recent elections the people of NI voted for 53 MLA’s (Members of the Legislative Assembly — NI’s government) who support the NI Protocol (the Trade agreement between the UK government and the EU) and 37 who oppose it.

So she naturally put people who oppose it in positions of power on NI affairs.

This could well see the collapse of the Good Friday Accords and the reignition of the Irish civil war known as The Troubles.

And all this after less than a week in power — way to go Liz...can’t wait for the second act of this tragicomedy.
